Theorizing the collection 3

Not from Cornell, and I’m hesitant to dub her a “collection theorist,” as her interests go beyond any individual collection (which may make her an “anti-collection” theorist, to use Atkinson’s term!) but Christine Borgman at UCLA is theorizing many of the most important issues in the scholarly use of collections. The companion website to her recent book, Scholarship in the Digital Age, is well worth a look, as it provides her complete list of sources (with links, where appropriate), which is fascinating in itself. People interested in academic librarianship and/or digital curation should actually read the book, however!
