Dances with databases

Although I don’t teach our database development course here (it’s very ably taught by my colleague, Dr. Yong Mi Kim), I have an ongoing interest in them (largely because I think they are essential to any collections work, and also because I had a good deal of experience with them back in my marketing research days. There is nothing like immersing yourself in a massive proprietary database to make the workday fly by!)

So I am very taken with The Manga Guide to Databases. Who says that databases have to be dull?! (Especially when there are also things on the horizon like Xquery?
